PERU STRATEGIC SUPPLIER FOR THE WORLD

  • Peruvian exports reached a historic record in 2023, amounting to 64.474 billion dollars.
  • There was a 3.0% increase in the number of exporters, reaching a total of 8,450.
  • Export growth was driven by agribusiness and minerals, with notable increases in grapes, blueberries, lead, and molybdenum.
  • China led as the main export destination, followed by the United States, the European Union, Canada, and India.
  • Trade agreements are actively being negotiated with China, India, Hong Kong, and Indonesia.
  • Peru has established 22 trade agreements with the world's major economies, consolidating itself as a strategic supplier.
  • 8% of Peruvian exports are directed to markets covered by current trade agreements, facilitating the country's trade flow.
  • Micro, small, and medium-sized productive units account for 4.5% of the value of exports, mainly in agribusiness and metalworking.
