Recognizing the innovation, ingenuity and creativity of companies in the development of new and better products, is the objective of the 10th edition of the Innovation Contest organized by the Association of Exporters (ADEX) in the framework of the Expoalimentaria fair to be held September 25-27 at the Jockey Exhibition Center.

The contest, whose registrations will close on August 2, is a door to access more business opportunities, contact networks in the food industry and brand recognition in an international environment. The winners are chosen by the vote of the audience and by a jury made up of recognized professionals from different fields of food innovation.

In this edition, 11 categories will be awarded: Beverages and Liquors; Confectionery and snacks; Canned food; Dehydrated Foods; Dairy products and derivatives; Coffee, cocoa and by-products; Gourmet and delicatessen products;   Refrigerated and frozen products; Pre-cooked products; Marine and aquaculture products; and functional and nutritional products.

In addition, awards will be given for trends, which seek to recognize, precisely, food trends aimed at greater awareness about health, the environment and the search for pleasure and entertainment: Healthy Living, Pleasure, Practicality and Ecofriendly. Last year Companies that presented products such as the Master Chetf Sweet Quinoa (quinoa with mango, aguaymanto and cranberries) from the company Virú SA and the frozen marinated grilled artichoke Casa Verde Gourmet ( Danper Trujillo SAC) were awarded .

Also, a drink of soursop, passion fruit and pineapple Golden Aseptic Peruvian Fruit SA); Andean grain energy bar with chia and cranberrys ( Natusnacks SAC), Andean Superdrink , a mixture of protein powder, prebiotics, essential amino acids and fiber, (Peruvian Heritage SAC), among others, which are already marketed in the country and abroad .

Expoalimentaria fair is the main international business platform that will offer the best offer of food and beverages, machinery, containers & packaging and services to foreign trade; It will gather buyers from five continents and generate business opportunities for Peruvian companies and others that will arrive from other countries.
